There are a few ways you can blend style and safety at a business to improve employee productivity and how a customer perceives your brand. Some are obvious, such as upgrading lighting and including modern security elements, among other examples, as follows.

Stylish Partitions and Barriers

Have you ever wondered if people would just fall from heights if barriers weren’t in place at malls and other spaces? We will never find out because safety barriers like commercial railings made of glass and other materials in modern spaces are necessary. When a space is crafted, the most modern railings at the time are usually included, but these become outdated. Upgrading these to more modern materials keeps safety in place while updating the style.

Upgraded Signage and Lighting

Signage is vital for a business as customers and employees alike need to be informed of certain things. Today, modern businesses that renovate are opting for low-lit and backlit low-profile signs that are always illuminated but aren’t too harsh on the eyes. As such, a certain level of modern elegance is maintained, but the eyes are also protected. You can also light existing signs by giving them a small makeover with LEDs without having to break the bank.

Blend Safety and Style with Biophilics

Biophilics just means the use of nature in a space. A study of 2,000 workers found that 40% agree on the positive impact plants have in the workplace. Adding some native plants for your region can dramatically improve how a space looks and feels, and can even improve worker productivity. However, it can also add some flair toa business from a customer point of view, especially when combined with lighting, sound and how a space feels with improved air quality.

Integrated Security Elements

Security is, of course, a critical part of protecting customers and employees at a business. Today, it is easier than ever to secure a company against threats, whether physical or online. Security and safety devices can be hidden to maintain a specific style, but must always be easily accessible. For example, fire extinguishers can be placed in cabinets that match the decor. Of course, CCTV cameras are smaller these days and can be invisible in a business.

Modern Slip-Proof Flooring

No one wants to deal with a slip or trip at work or when visiting a business. Of course, offices and lobby areas are designed to make an impression, and as such, safety can take a backseat over aesthetics sometimes, as is evident with slippery marble or granite flooring. However, you might just be setting yourself up for a hefty lawsuit! Today, there are many stylish options that can help make the flooring at your business safer, such as non-slip coatings for tiles.

Summary

Partitions and barriers, such as LED-lit glass, are a perfect example of how to blend safety and style in a business. However, including natural elements such as plants and water can also elevate the design and improve productivity, and non-slip coatings help with flooring safety.
