According to her, “when food is available to us, it must go around to the right people not kept in stores.”
The minister expressed gratitude to partners and supporters, including the Federal Ministry of Works, Nigeria Custom Service and the Federal Ministry of Finance, while assuring potential beneficiaries that distribution would continue beyond the festive season.
Emphasising unity and women’s collective strength, the minister declared that the women’s cohesion is already yielding tangible national outcomes.
The ministér reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s priority on women’s economic empowerment as central to achieving a $1 trillion economy, while highlighting programmes spanning agriculture, clean cooking gas penetration, fabrication and ownership opportunities, and grassroots access.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Esuabana Nko Asanye, welcomed the stakeholders and celebrated the Nigerian women, describing the ministry as a global champion for women, children and families.
