Some extra special guest judges are set to sashay onto the RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World set next year.
The Bear and Black Mirror star Will Poulter has been revealed in the first tranche of celebrity judges, along with Bananarama’s Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward, Amandaland star Lucy Punch and “Left Outside Alone” singing icon Anastacia.
Meanwhile, Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies, creator of some of the UK’s most successful shows about the queer community down the years, is set for a “special appearance,” the BBC said. More guest judges joining RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton will be announced in due course.
Poulter is a great get for the BBC Three hit. The London-born star was Emmy-nominated for his roles in The Bear and Dopesick, while other credits include Black Mirror, The Underground Railroad and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3.

“I’m so excited to be a guest judge,” said Poulter. “I’ve been a fan of Drag Race for years and being there in person to see the competition live was a surreal experience and even more amazing than I had imagined.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs the World is a spin-off of Drag Race UK and sees a number of UK queens from previous seasons compete against those from around the world. Earlier this year, Season 2 was won by UK queen Tia Kofi, who beat Australia’s Hannah Conda in the final.
Drag Race UK vs the World will launch early next year. It is a World of Wonder production for BBC Three and BBC iPlayer commissioned by Fiona Campbell, Interim Director of Unscripted and Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC. The Executive producers for World of Wonder are Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, RuPaul Charles, Bruce McCoy, Matt Green, and Johnni Javier. BBC commissioning editor is Ruby Kuraishe.
