Apple Renames The Gulf Of Mexico To ‘Gulf of America’ by lining it according to Donald Trump’s Order

According to the report of Bloomberg Apple just recently renamed the Gulf of Mexico’s name into the Gulf of America. This development has come days after Alphabet Inc’s Google made a comparable update to its Google Maps app at the instruction of US President Donald Trump.

Donald Trump stated on Wednesday, February 9th as the “first-ever Gulf of America Day”. This after officially remaining of the water body which was earlier known as the Gulf of Mexico. Trump’s administration has implemented the change on its official websites. The administration has very restricted the access of the journalists of the media organizations that do not follow the order to rename the Gulf Of Mexico.

According to the news agency Associated Press, the White House also blocked the entry of its reporter from an event at the Oval Office. Regarding the Gulf of Mexico, the news organization has been instructed to change its tone. The highly unusual ban on reporters could have constitutional free speech implications.

The recent change has come after the United States government revised its official map to remember the new name. According to a Bloomberg report, the change is visible to its customers in the US. However, the new name of the landlocked body of water will be updated for all users globally.

Apple Maps apps are also available on most of its devices including the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
