Former Pakistan cricket captain and current mentor of the national Under-19 team, Sarfraz Ahmed, became a trending topic on social media after sharing a special moment with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The moment was captured during a visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) where members of Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team were invited following their outstanding win in the Under-19 Asia Cup final.

The young team met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal to receive appreciation for their dominant performance and for bringing pride to the country.

Sarfraz Ahmed shared a photo from the meeting on his Instagram account. In the picture, he can be seen shaking hands with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in a respectful and warm gesture.

The image quickly gained attention across social media platforms, with fans praising the moment as a symbol of national unity and pride.

What truly caught people’s attention was Sarfraz’s caption. In his Instagram story, he wrote, “Assalam-o-Alaikum sir, Sarfraz Ahmed reporting, mission accomplished.” The short yet powerful line resonated with fans and cricket lovers, who admired the former captain’s sense of responsibility and pride in mentoring the next generation.

Social media users widely shared the post, applauding Sarfraz for his continued contribution to Pakistan cricket even after retirement. Many highlighted his leadership role in guiding young players and celebrating their success with humility.

The meeting at GHQ was seen as a morale-boosting moment for the Under-19 team, reinforcing the importance of sports in representing Pakistan positively on international platforms. Sarfraz Ahmed’s viral post added a memorable personal touch to an already proud occasion for the nation.
