A gruesome shooting attack in the Swedish adult education center campus of Risbergska left the entire world shocked. The incident was reported from the outskirts of Orebro a city located about 200 kilometers from west of Stockholm.

Risbergska school campus witnessed the country’s deadliest gun attack at their adult education center and the incident leaving eleven people dead. This school offers services to students who can’t complete their studies due to any issues and adult students.

While reacting to the incident, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said, “It is hard to take in the full extent of what has happened today — the darkness that now lowers itself across Sweden tonight.”

Calling it brutal and deadly violence against innocent people, Ulf Kristersson also added,” “This is the worst mass shooting in Swedish history. Many questions remain unanswered, and I cannot provide those answers either.

There are also children’s schools on this campus. Additionally, it provides Swedish classes for immigrants, programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and vocational training.

According to the early inquiry, the gunman was one of the victims slain, and while the gunman’s goal is still unknown, efforts are being made to recover the bodies of more victims at the school in the city of Orebro.

Local police chief Roberto Eid Forest said

“We know that 10 or so people have been killed here today. The reason that we can’t be more exact currently is that the extent of the incident is so large,”.

Notably, the large-scale damages at the site made it challenging for the investigators to find exactly the cause of the incident.

The police website stated, “We currently have no information on the condition of those who have been injured.”

Teacher Lena Warenmark, who heard probably 10 rounds of gunshots, informed SVT News. That time there are a few numbers of students on campus after Tuesday’s afternoon exam.

Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer stated, “The reports of violence in Orebro are very serious. The police are on site and the operation is in full swing. The government is in close contact with the police, and is closely following developments,”.

During the investigation, the police confirmed that there were no suspected connections to the terrorism and the gunfire.
